// CHASING SPRING

Recently, the whole Singapore is raving about the "Sakura" presence. Its everywhere, literally. Neighborhood, expressways, carparks etc. Due to the rain after a long dry freaking hot season, the flowers bloom! It was so so pretty, for someone like me who has not been to Japan yet. Such a pretty sight. Thought that it would be a pity if I didn't manage to capture it.

We drove around, searching for the perfect location to capture the beautiful flowers. However, we were a little late. A day or 2 late to be exact. By the time we see those trees, flowers are all over the ground. The white ones look exactly like tissue papers. A little disappointed. Oh well, we still have a few hanging there, not that bad. Afterall, we had fun exploring and took some nice decent pictures. I can't wait for our next location to shoot again!

Till then.

// THE SUMMER SEARCH

We had this really impromptu day out and decided to go for a quick shoot. The sun was really really harsh as we were out in the field like 2pm. Totally a killer time. Nevertheless, we just wanna make the best out of it and get some shots done. Its funny how we were rushing throughout and how she tries to avoid all sorts of ground thinking that there would be snakes.

We came up of the concept of how one search for love and often falls into the midst of dream. Sometimes you just feel that you're having such a sweet relationship with this particular guy but however, its all in the back of your mind. Truth is, both of you are of separate world. Or maybe, he doesn't even exist. The first shot was was a miracle, we took it with a tripod and it was just 1 take as we need to rush off. I would say, she's such a talent. I was really happy with the result,  the expression she portrayed. The sense of longing for love. And how she sees herself in love until she realized that, "I'm alone, that man is just a dream."

// A LITTLE KOREAN-ISH AFFAIR

We gotten a little addicted to one of the latest kdramas, "You who came from the Star" recently. Oops Sorr-rey, I mean really addicted. It has one of the best story lines thus far. What more to say when we have Jun Ji Hyun as the female lead. As a small-time actor myself, I was really carried away by her role and was so immersed in it, despite the fact of my usual self, analysing her control of emotions/feelings. That impressed me.

Somehow, my fav girl gives me the vibe of Cheon Song Yi, her hair and those little features of hers. Hence, we go for a quick shoot while I was searching high and low for my jogger pants. Really satisfied with the pictures and she looks 'quite' (shouldn't get her flying high) pretty here. Not too bad =)

Till then.

// SNAP PRODUCTIONS

Introducing to you the faces behind SNAP Productions.

We have been running SNAP for about 2 years and has officially working on it full-time. Running both commercial and creative projects. It has been my dream all along to be able to work on SNAP as a career. However, the road is rocky. Many uncertainties and many 'what ifs'. We been striving, I wouldn't say very hard, but each shoot, we are pushing our limits. To go for better frames, better angles, better editing.

I thank God for such friends who I met to work on this together. It's not easy to find friends of the same interest and bringing it to work. So, some time last week, we decided to go for a quick photoshoot as we are always the ones shooting, filming, documenting others.

Personally I love the next photo. It was pretty candid. Shawne took it as a test shot and amazingly, it turns out great! The depth of this picture, the emotion, framing, lighting. Really in love with it. Alongside with Glenn, who I known for almost 14 years to date. We went all the way back to Primary 5.

Lastly, to those who has always give us your support, introduce us to friends, I couldn't thank you enough. We have just started, and will be driving forward. This is only the beginning.

Till then.

// THE VEIL

Proverbs 19:14

Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from The Lord

22nd feb marks the day we officially embark onto our actual wedding videography. Nervous, anxious, excited. I've no idea which of it is going through my mind the previous night. Despite all those conflicting thoughts, a gush of happiness pours over me when we reached the bride's place. That kind of selfless grace, only to share and give the countless blessings to the newly-weds.  The whole session suddenly doesn't feels like a job, as though I'm there to share the  joy and laughter.  Everyone seems to have taken a cup of happy pills. At times, wonder if the bride wants the day to end fast due to fatigue or would they want it to last as long as possible.

//THE WAYANG JUNIOR

Dec '13.

I received a phone call 2 days before the actual shoot. They told me they are interested in me and would like to see if I am up for the role. I went down for audition just like any usual ones that I've been to. This time round, something different. Audition venue at the Wayang stage. Lecturers judging. Felt as though its something really important to them.

Director started explaining to me the role and I got interested. Besides the usual average joe, gangster, rebellion, I'm playing the role of a Wayang Junior. I've got to learn the ropes of swirling and twirling the sword. It really appeals to me. At that point of time, everything else doesn't matter as long as I get to play the role. To me, it has been this way all along. If something really interest me or I really want it, nothing else matter, even monetary term.

TA-DAH! Then, I've been informed I gotten the role later on at night. This is my 4th FYP film and the amazing thing is, this particular FYP cultural film is to be shown in Singapore Discovery Center from March '14 onwards!! Currently, its in the midst of post-production and the team is really working really hard on it. Am really excited for the screening. Although, its not like the good old days, where I get to walk the red carpet. But, it would be really nice if friends can come together and watch this featured film. SOON!

Till then.

// 3RD WEEK OF FEB

Kicking off this post with the above. This week feels lazy. Or maybe, just today. Having back from such a great weekend getaway, though its a staycation, but it felt like one hellla good holiday. Feeling all lazy over! Thing about being a free-lancer, self-discipline seems to play a strong role in it. I'm lacking but definitely moving towards it. Cut down numerous time from gaming, cut down my idling time. Churning all of these tick-tocks into work.

Many might know, but not all. I'm taking a route of a free-lancer and gonna see where it leads me to. Everyday, I'm rushing from point A to B. Acting, filming, tuition. I love arts, I love how the media connects people and how visuals are being delivered to people. That's where our production started off a year back. SNAP - www.snaproductions.com. There is this sense of satisfaction upon releasing every video and the process of garnering views and feedbacks. Its amazing how friends laugh over our films and started using tag lines when we meet. It felt like we created an entertainment, and that's what makes it fulfilling! #NENGKORRR

Acting wise, I started 5 years ago. Stopped for 2 years due to my term to serve Singapore. However, I'm coming back. God has been really good to me. Everything seems to be so timely. I took up several projects ever since my last paper in SIM. And a few upcoming ones. Really excited about it and lately, been submitting my resumes for numerous auditions. Applied for 100 auditions, even if you get 5, its worth it.

I shall share one of my shoots tomorrow!

Till then.
P.S #bionk is in the picture, do spot for this cute little one.
